Mausoleum Records 1984
If yer lookin' for real Metal you need look no further - this is the shit right here! Germany. 1984. Produced by Udo Dirkschneider and Michael Wagener. Done and done! Excellent pounding Heavy Metal with enough Rock sensibility to ensure that every song is a killer... not unlike ACCEPT in that respect. In fact, the title track is a faithful homage to their German brethren, even referencing Restless And Wild in the lyrics... and co-written by Wagener to boot. The vocalist on opener "Don't Feel Hate" is a deadringer for Dee Snider, and the riff is total TWISTED SISTER too. Even the ballady "A Million Hearts" is a fantastic arena worthy anthem. And to top it all off the band photos are funny and very cool at the same time... the horny helmet is phenomenal! You should download this, or continue to live in a FAITHFUL BREATH-free prison of your own making.

Where the hell do you track down all this crazy metal shit? I thought I was a die-hard 80's metal head, but I haven't heard of half the bands on here...lol. Keep up the good work, and thanks again for the ups.

This is so fucking bizarre-- I was spinning the 45 at a Toronto store the other day, right down to noting the Accept swipe-- and it was the two songs you cite here. Anyways, I didn't buy it, although I did pick up a Dio-era Sabbath 45 for my hard-earned ducats, so it's probably still in the Kops new wave section if anyone cares.

UNREAL band photos.

Hey Simon. Did the 7" have a picture sleeve?

Yeah, incredible picture sleeve at that.

Very Accept-like indeed. Mind you, these guys were already at it in '74. They performed round these parts in the early 80's wearing... Viking helmets (take that, Manowar!). Amazingly, this album's title track made the British charts. From '87 they called themselves Risk, but it soon petered out after that.

The follow up to Gold N Glory is really good as well. It's called Skol and it ROCKs! You really can't go wrong with Faithful Breath, even the stuff they did under the name Risk is good.
